Drunken Shrimp Crostini


  • 1 lb. shrimp (deveined and peeled)
  • ¼ tsp smoked sea salt ¼ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tbsp. olive oil
  • 4 garlic cloves (crushed)
  • Pinch red pepper flakes
  • Fresh cilantro Tequila
  • 1 avocado (smashed)
  • 1 lime
  • 1 baguette 
  1. Pre-heat your wood-fired oven to 400F
  2. Cut the baguette into thin slices. Arrange on a baking tray and brush lightly with olive oil. Place in oven and bake until slightly golden (10 mins)
  3. Slice avocado and remove inside. Use a fork and smash until smooth. (can also use a food processor or blender. 
  4. Season the shrimp with salt and pepper.
  5. Heat your cast iron pan to high heat. Place on top of the Oven Brothers oven. Add olive oil and shrimp to the pan. Let cook for 2 minutes
  6. Flip shrimp and add garlic and red pepper flakes. Bake inside the oven for another 2 minutes.
  7. Remove pan and place back on top of the oven. Add tequila and let warm for a few seconds. Ignite tequila to flambé the shrimp. Let burn for 10-15 seconds then blow out if not already out. Squeeze lime juice over shrimp.
  8. Add a piece of baguette, a small amount of avocado, shrimp, and top with cilantro.
